About Me :)

My name is Breanna Townsend, and I am the founder and CEO of Copper & Olive. This boutique is truly my dream come true, and I’d love to share a little bit about how I got here.

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved selling things and being my own boss in my own way. I was constantly creating—whether it was slime, jewelry, door hangers, or even hand painted Bibles—and turning those ideas into Etsy shops. Whatever I could dream up, I wanted to build and share with others.

I graduated high school in 2022 knowing I wanted to own my own business. I started at Northeast Alabama Community College and later transferred to Jacksonville State University, where I graduated with my marketing degree in 2026. Along the way, that passion for entrepreneurship only grew stronger.

In early 2023, the idea for Copper & Olive was placed on my heart. I took a leap and started—but I also experienced failure early on. I let that failure discourage me, and for a season, I set Copper & Olive to the side. But in 2025, everything changed. I entered the Gamecock Entrepreneurial Pitch Contest and was blessed to win $2,500 to relaunch my business. That moment gave me the confidence to go all in.

Since relaunching Copper & Olive in July of 2025, I’ve let go of the fear of “What if I fail?” and replaced it with “What if I succeed?” I’ve continuously prayed over this business, trusting the Lord to guide it, and He has been so faithful. The name “Copper & Olive” is inspired by Deuteronomy 8:7–9, representing a land of abundance and blessing, and that meaning is woven into everything this boutique stands for.

Copper & Olive is also a reflection of who I am. I love the outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and creating pieces that people feel confident and beautiful in. Being able to connect with others and bring something meaningful into their lives through this business is something I never take for granted.

Since relaunching, I’ve had the opportunity to travel across the Southeast doing vendor events, meeting so many amazing people, and watching this business grow into something so special. And truly, I believe this is just the beginning. There are so many big things ahead for Copper & Olive, and I’m so excited for what’s to come.
